THE MADISON AREA CONCERT HANDBELLS

a highly skilled community handbell choir based in Madison, WIsconsin.

Founded in 1997 by Dr. Susan Udell, MACH has continued a legacy of 25+ years of sharing the magic of handbells.

MACH performs with over 7 octaves of handbells and 7 octaves of handchimes, making the group one of the largest choirs in Wisconsin. MACH is currently led by Music Director, Nick Bonaccio.

As one of the nation’s finest handbell choirs, you’ll hear challenging music played artistically with 15+ different techniques that are unique to handbells. In recent years, MACH has become known for collaborations, including xylophone, drums, french horn, and even a tap dancer!

MACH has performed at Wisconsin’s Sesquicentennial Celebration, the Monona Terrace Convention Center, the Elvehjem Museum of Art, Olbrich Gardens, Milwaukee’s Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, the Stoughton Opera House, the Gard Theater in Spring Green, the opening of Madison’s Overture Center, at the Middleton Performing Arts Center, Sinsinawa Mound, Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, and with the Madison Symphony Orchestra at their Christmas concerts in 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2008.
